Your Journey
The ss Great Britain was a world first when she was launched in Bristol in 1843. This uniquely successful ship design brought together new technologies in a way which transformed world travel. She was immediately successful - on her maiden voyage across the Atlantic she easily broke the previous speed record.

Your journey begins as you are welcomed by your steward, and shown to your seat. On board, beautifully laid tables with starched tablecloths, along with uniquely branded silverware, emphasise the elegant and comfortable carriages.

Fine dining is a highlight of every journey, and once you have settled into your seat, a delicious brunch with Bellini is served on the outward journey to Bath. In the care of your steward, sit back and relax in the convivial atmosphere. The journey is as exciting as the destination.

On arrival at Bristol, you will be met by your guide who will take you on a coach transfer to SS Great Britain. Your time is then your own to explore this wonder of the industrial revolution. There is so much to discover about the ss Great Britain, her conservation, her history, true stories of Victorian passengers and crew and Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

Following your day on the SS Great Britain, rejoin your coach for the transfer back to the Northern Belle for your return journey. A sumptuous dinner with champagne and wine is served whilst you recall the best moments of your day out.

What to wear
Smart day wear is appropriate. You are asked not to wear jeans.

The SS Great Britain, Dockyard Museum and the Dry Dock are fully accessible for wheelchair users. A few of the cabins are too narrow for standard wheelchairs. The Trust can provide on request special wheelchairs that will fit through the cabin doors. Please ask at the Ticket Office or the Gift Shop. Dedicated wheelchair assistants have FREE admission to Brunel's ss Great Britain. Cobblestones through the main gates are uneven.

Any departure stations with a s symbol is an offer.
