Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok aboard the Eastern & Oriental Express
Journey on board the Eastern & Oriental Express from Kuala Lumpur to the excitement of Bangkok through the heart of South East Asia, with visits to colonial Georgetown and the infamous River Kwai en route.

Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur
Depart Kuala Lumpur on board the Eastern & Oriental Express and after being welcomed on board, dress for dinner and a relaxing evening in the Bar Car with its resident pianist. Retire to your cabin which has been transformed into a cosy bedroom by your steward.
Day 2 - Butterworth (for Penang)
Breakfast in your cabin before a morning guided excursion to colonial Georgetown, Penang, including an introductory tour of the historic town and Fort Cornwallis, partly by trishaw. Enjoy lunch on board. View the changing scenery from the Observation Car as the train crosses into Thailand. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3 - Kanchanaburi
Following breakfast visit the River Kwai and enjoy an excursion by boat to the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre where a local historian will provide an informative tour. Lunch on board before arrival in Bangkok mid-afternoon.
